Oktoberfest is the world's largest beer festival. People from all over the planet travel to Munich to experience it every year, and now is your chance to do it too. Our public tour will take you through the alluring streets of Munich and teach you all about the history of beer in the country before you make your way to where the fun happens. Feel what Oktoberfest means for Bavarians, drink a couple of beers on us, and live to tell the tale that you were at this very event that some only dream of.
What To Expect
Meet your tour guide at Goetheplatz, which is only 600 metres from where the event is, at 12 p.m. sharp. Don't keep them waiting now, or they might deprive you of the complimentary 0.5 litre of beer for each member of your group that awaits.
Embark down the streets of Munich, sipping an ice cold beer while learning all about the city's beer culture and how important it is for the locals. It's nice to learn about the history before getting to the celebration.
As soon as 1 p.m. hits, the gates of Oktoberfest are open, so get there fast. A table will be reserved for your squad until 3:30 pm in one of the marquees. That will be your little base for the day.
At Oktoberfest, everyone will receive a further two litres of beer, a crispy pretzel, and a traditional "Brotzeitbrettl," which is a Bavarian appetiser platter. Damn, you're really going to be relishing in the local lifestyle.
Like we said, 3:30 pm is when the table reservation ends, but you and the lads can still stay there after drinking and enjoying the remainder of the event, but your guide will part ways with you. It goes on for the whole day, so we recommend you stay to get the full experience.
To restore your health the following day, try our Bavarian breakfast filled with classic bites from the cuisine and a beer for anyone who's tough enough to hack it.
